What is a HERS Rating?

Energy Inspectors™ is a certified HERS Provider.

As a HERS (Home Energy Rating Systems) provider, Energy Inspectors™ is accredited by the National Mortgage Industry Association to rate homes for Energy Efficient Financing. Our banking relationships can help production and custom homebuilders secure energy efficient financing for all of their clients.

Accredited rating providers have the responsibility of ensuring the quality of rating services. Rating providers are responsible for administering rating programs. These responsibilities include:

SERVICES

A Certified Home Energy Rater, or Rater, is a person trained and certified by an accredited Home Energy Rating Provider to inspect and evaluate a home’s energy features, prepare a home energy rating and make recommendations for improvements that will save the homeowner energy and money.
